Hi, I’m Shannon! I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker working toward licensure. I earned my Master of Social Work from California State University, San Marcos in 2016 and have since worked with several San Diego organizations serving adults and seniors facing complex health conditions, life transitions, severe mental illness, or substance use challenges.
I take a person-centered, strength-based approach, creating therapy that feels like a real conversation rather than a performance. I consider each client’s trauma history, attachment experiences, and relationship patterns to understand what shows up in the present and guide practical steps forward. I often integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).
My style is direct, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I view all individuals as resourceful, capable, and resilient. I aim to help clients navigate challenges, build coping skills, and cultivate meaningful growth in their lives.
